Witnessing the delivery of a nation… French photographer Anne de Henning travelled via Bangladesh within the early 70s, throughout the struggle of independence, photographing freedom fighters, households, refugee trains and girls fleeing villages. To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence, Paris’s Guimet Museum is internet hosting an exhibition of Anne de Henning’s work referred to as “Witnessing Historical past within the Making”. Anne de Henning spoke to Eve Jackson about what she noticed when she was in Bangladesh.
