With Accra Style Week underway in Ghana, FRANCE 24’s tradition present Encore! travelled to the West African cultural hub to fulfill a number of the designers kickstarting Africa’s model revolution. Eve Jackson met up with Aisha Ayensu, the founding father of trailblazing model Christie Brown. She has dressed the likes of Alicia Keys and “Black Panther Wakanda Ceaselessly” actress Danai Gurira. Two of her items are entrance and centre in a groundbreaking exhibition on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London on African vogue. Aisha tells us why the style scene in Accra is “filled with infinite prospects”.
